Job Responsibility:

  • Assist Hull section in performing various risk assessments.
  • Ensure new business applications are processed accurately and efficiently, adhering to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely follow up and processing of new business applications.
  • Follow-up with intermediaries or clients whom we have requested for supporting documents.
  • Escalate high-risk cases to compliance team
  • Ensure all premiums are promptly paid within the stipulated premium payment warranty.
  • Identify trends and opportunities, develop and service main accounts.
  • Review and update marine product offerings, value-added services, underwriting guidelines etc.
  • Performs other functions or tasks assigned from time to time.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the company.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree holder preferably in insurance or shipping/logistics discipline / ANZIFF or ACII
  • 3+ years working experience with substantial experience gained within marine insurance industry.
  • Good working knowledge of underwriting, product rating and pricing methodology
  • Established customer/broker relationships.
  • Thorough understanding of class specific underwriting and reinsurance knowledge
  • Ability to analyse data and use for decision-making.
  • Strong attention to detail
