20 November 2021 marks our 20th anniversary of resuming operations in Mainland China. China Taiping Insurance Group shifted its focus to overseas business expansion in 1956 and subsequently resumed its business operations in Shanghai and Shen Zhen in 2001. To mark this milestone, the Group hosted "Taiping Day" on 20 November in Beijing with a suite of virtual activities.
In conjunction with the celebration, China Taiping Insurance Singapore recognised its 34 long-serving employees who have been with the company for at least two decades, in the presence of the Senior Management Team, Head of Departments and 30 new employees who has joined this year.
Mr. Yang Yamei, General Manager, welcomed the new employees into the big Taiping family and shared the heritage of China Taiping Group that has since evolved to a large transnational financial group. He encouraged all employees to embrace the corporate spirit and bring the company to a new level of growth.
Mr. Yang also expressed his sincere gratitude to these long-serving employees for their hardwork and valuable contributions over the years and thanked all employees who have contributed to the tremendous growth of the company over the years. China Taiping Insurance Singapore has achieved excellent growth year on year, with total asset reaching S$1.22 billion as of October 2021.
